cj : no, i'm saying he is a good story teller, most sailors are ! ask them about a storm they may have experienced and they'll often tell you (in german : auf hoher see und dann kein schiff und in jeder hand einen koffer - original version in slightly different in plattdeutsch) : on the hight seas, no ship and in each hand a suitcase - just not as funny in english.

my 'duden' dictionary still shows the word UNZE as an entry. since my duden is quite a recent issue - 1967 - i'm sure it must be up-to-date, or has it also been effected by the german 'reform of the reform" of the german language ? don't tell me, i could not bear it. ... much sobbing ...
