That's right!

After looking at the picture more closely, I can see it's the Victoria and Albert Waterfront. We visited there only one evening for dinner at a seafood restaurant. The food and wine were fantastic - at great prices too! Wink

Please don't wait for me to post a picture. I don't have any and wouldn't know how to do it if I did. I hope that's not a requirement for playing. Someone else will have to put up the next pic.
Some of yall may know that after college, VN and a couple of years in Atlanta, johnboy got itchy feet and spent the next few years hitching around Europe, parts of Asia and then a fantastic stroll from Cairo to Capetown. Despite having long hair and an earring, I got a job with a major CPA (or Chartered Accounting) firm in Capetown. Great job, insanely high salary for a mid-level auditor and Capetown was a fantastic city to live in in the mid 1970's...if you were white.
I also worked nights at an eatery in the area where the picture was taken. Not particularly great food but popular with young professionals and students from the University of Capetown. I made a lot of friends through that job. On many occasions we would drive down to the southern tip of Africa late in the evening, camp out on the beach and drink wine and smoke pot (not rjb, of course), crash out and wake up to see the sun rising over the Indian Ocean. We'd play around on Table Mountain all day and end up sitting with our feet dangling in the water of the Atlantic Ocean, watching the sun set.

Merry Christmas to yall. realjohboy

hmm. A university sports stadium. Not much of a hint, cicerone. Look at the buildings in the background, folks. Not much of a skyline so that suggests something but I'm not sure what. Some place like Omaha. Nah, ci wouldn't go there.
Budapest. Never been there but I'm sure ci has been. Give us a hint, ci. Thanks. -rjb-

The background is the hint; if one looks closely, real closely, you'll get the hint needed to make some guesses. Wink
