I know that your picture was taken from the south (Nepal) through the jet cloud around the summit.

satt_fs, You're right; we flew from Kathmandu on Buddha Air. The airline even gave us a 'certificate' that says I did the flight. Wink

I could have known if it were Dhaulagiri or Amadablam. Machhapuchare was difficult.

The following is Dhaulagiri (very far) from the north (Tibet) or, rather, from the space.

And Amadablam (in Nepal).

Yes, Fishtail is right, or Macchapichare - you can't see it from Kathmandu even though it's in Nepal, but you get stunning views of it from Pokhara.

This picture was about :

"Statement of the 'Sovest' group in defense of Mikhail Khodorkovsky

We are addressing all people for whom the notions of 'justice' and 'fair trial' still retain their primary meaning and have not become the object of political gambling, to all people who want to live in a democratic Russia, a country based on the rule of law, with a developed market economy."

All I know is that its Putin on that placard with a cross through his face, and the sign says Hvatit!, or "Enough!" (more literally: "it suffices!")
