The Selected treatises. Abu Nasr Muhammad Al-Farabi. (870-950)
"From philosophy there was a religion. It arises when the philosophy after authentic apothetic reaches the perfect superiority. The religion began to differ from all syllogistic arts by a place and rather. The philosophy and at its people does not have power over that religion and over its people, but there is an idea of breaking off, and people of this idea name broken away. The religion receives a few help from philosophy, but also there is no guarantee that philosophy and people of philosophy would receive huge harm from that religion and its people. That is why can be that people (philosophies) are compelled to counteract in this (case) to people of religion, demanding well-being for philosophers. They are released from counteracting the religion, but counteract, in their opinion when they aspire to explain that in their religion are images. And if the religion followed vicious philosophy, and then to them the philosophy the philosophy would counteract that religion in all relations has come correct apothetic, and the religion would counteract in philosophy in aggregate. And everyone would wish to destroy another. And that from them which will gain upwards and will become stronger in souls, will destroy another, and that from them which will win another, will destroy it".
