Yesterday and today I have been unable to see any pictures, URLs or even the quote balloons (around quoted pieces of text) on postings.
I don't think this is happening to anyone else so it must be my computer.
I can see avatars and emoticons, but not pictures posted on a thread, even though people are writing text referring to a picture they have posted or a URL that is supposed to be there.
As for quotes, I can see the text as regular text but with no indication that it's a quote.
This is happening on all threads for me - even older threads that I re-read to see if it's just a recent happening.
Any ideas what I need to do to my 'puter to get this back?
It's happening in my computer too.
The weird thing is that some URLs show; some don't.
I have one idea, but there are probably lots of causes.
Somehow, the pop up ad blocker on Earthlink became activated after downloading an updated version. This caused the same symptoms, so it might be related to someone's overly agressive pop up blocker.
Hmmm, and here I thought I was 'special'. Gotta go back and see if I can see any URLs at all.
Try to give some information guys.
It works for some and doesn't work for others, without knowing what is the differentiating factor nobody can help.

I can see no "roger wrote" if he is quoted (same with any other member)
Some links work, others (80's lyrics test, able2know online games) dissappeared.

I can see a URL posted by BumbleBeeBoogie at 1:01AM. No pictures on the other postings tho'.
The second thread fbaezer has listed above, I do see URLs.
What version of Windows are you using?
Which browser and browser version are you using?
Does it only occur on A2K or does it happen on other sites also?
When you say you can/cannot see the URL, does this mean you can see the address link in the post or that when you click on the address link you are able to see the displayed webpage?
Are there any error messages? If so, what are the details of the message?

I thought it was a site problem. Elsewhere in the net everything is normal.
1) is it working now (I recoded a page)?
2) What browser and version?
3) What ISP?
4) Do you use a firewall? If so what firewall?
5) Do you use any ad blocking technology?
6) When exactly did this start to happen?
Can someone go to a thread where they ahve this problem and click (on IE) View then Source.
A notepad document should appear, please copy the document into a post.

That's a very graphics intensive thread with lots and lots of images.
It may be that their computers just don't have the memory needed to display all the images in that thread.

Does the problem only happen in that one thread about who has the best avatar or does it also happen in other threads too? If so, can you give links to some more threads where it happens?
Nope, not having the problem.
Sorry, didn't see that requirement in your request. My mistake.
Need me to delete the source code post so it doesn't continue to distort the page layout?
And do the images in the page header (and others OUTSIDE the posts) display?
One more possibility: does this problem only happen on threads where images are posted?
