@de Silentio,
I think I misrepresented the underlying issue of limitless finities by starting off with the analogy of vision. Even though it is (at least to itself) a limitless finity, vision is also a physiological phenomenon, at least on the surface. The pure *concept* of a limitless finity is what I really wanted to focus on--however this concept may appear.

It's not illusory. It's real. But its location is relative to your position and line of sight. It's not any more illusory, though, than is the length of your shadow.
