Good: We have freedom
Bad: No way of preventing abuses of that freedom
Good- Government has programs to help assist people who have suffered temporary setbacks.
Bad- Some people drag on the "temporary" assistance, until it becomes a way of life.
Good: We protect the rights of the individual
Bad: We protect undisciplined students and their parents but
punish teachers who try to maintain discipline.
good: rights are sacred, not to be messed with by intrusive know-best government
bad: except in the bedroom
Good: We have a love affair with the automobile
Bad: We blame the gov't for allowing us to have monster gas guzzling SUVs
Good: We are at our best when things are worst
Bad: We let things get to 'worst' before we show our best

Very unfortunate but true.
Bad: We complain about things that cannot be changed.
Good: We complain about things that can be changed for the better.
Bad: We support a president no matter how wrong he can be.
Good: The president can only serve two terms.
good: Our schools have amazing facilities
bad: our students don't perform as well as they could

good: our schools are huge and have many things not found elsewhere
bad: our class sizes tend to be too big
Good: We want and encourage immigration
Bad: We have great difficulty protecting ourselves from those immigrants who would do us harm
Good: a young person with good ideas can get bank credit for his/her enterprise.
Bad: a young person with little money has trouble getting into a good university.
Good: Unlike Europeans, Americans hate bureaucracy.
Bad: The US bureaucracy has European+ levels of complication.
Good: Americans don't get bothered if English is spoken with an accent.
Bad: Americans hardly ever bother in learning other languages.
Good: We have an abundance of everything right now
Bad: We are wasting it with very little thought for tomorrow
Good: The Richest Country in the World!
Bad: We don't share that wealth!
