@plainoldme,
Quote:Have you ever heard of the concept of the burden of proof?
Oh, like the theory of personal liberty requires you to show proof of why me being allowed to do something is an onerous burden to society before you can refuse me the right to do it? That you not liking it is not enough?
Please show me the proof that Child porn creates rapists. Please show me the proof that everyone who looks at child porn is highly dangerous and requires our means of last resort...jail. Please show me the proof that children are harmed by being in photo's, even nude ones. Please show me the proof that removing child porn has ANY effect on the rates of child abuse.
A lot of people don't like child porn. Some nut jobs with the ability to control our law making process don't like kids being in pictures at all and have made normal everyday pictures of kids worthy of investigation by the police allowing the authorities to ransack entire families in the search for evil doers. But what about justice? What about fairness? what about freedom? Is there even a single thing we will not give away in this obsession with the utopian fantasy of the perfectly safe child??
