Long periods when I cannot access A2k...now can't access support to let you know!

Sorry, I know one ought not to make threads about technical issues, but I am having long periods when I cannot access A2k....I notice it in the evening and morning Oz time...but, since these are the times I TRY to access it, I don't know whether those times are simply an artifact of when I am trying!

I have tried at such times on Chrome, IE and Opera.

Occasionally it happens on any of 3 work computers running IE that I happen to have access to. But I seldom access A2k from work. Just letting you know it's not just my computer.

At these times I am perfectly able to access other sites.

I just tried to report it via contact us, but, although I can access the site at this particular moment, I cannot access support.

I get the standard "can't connect to that site" message for each browser. Chrome's looks like this::

Oops! Google Chrome could not connect to support.able2know.com
Suggestions:
Access a cached copy of support. able2know. com/ index. php
Go to able2know. com
Try reloading the page
Search on Google:

...only it's usually just cannot connect to able2know, not support@able to know.

I have cleared my cache and done all that stuff.

It's been happening since around mid-April, I think, but seems to be getting worse. Can last for a few hours, I think....though since I go off and do other stuff after trying for a few minutes, I do not know exactly how long it can.

Sorry to report this here....if anyone else wants to copy this into a proper support ticket to webmaster (priority low) on my behalf and letting 'em know it is I, not you, that'd be very kind and such.

If not, I hope Rob sees this at some point.

If it's happening to others, putting in a ticket to support is better, I understand, than putting it here. Though I'd be personally interested to know if it's a general thing!

Contact us is down the bottom of the screen.

@dlowan,
Well, it doesn't seem a general thing that extends to the US. I'm on and off at all hours of the day, and haven't gotten that kind of rejection in the past several weeks.

@roger,
Thank you.

"Rejection".

Now I feel REALLY bad.

sobs brokenly.

I emailed Margo (email bounced) and Msolga (hasn't responded) to see if it might be an Oz thing.

Come to think of it, I was rejected by them, too.

Not an OZ thing. I have not noticed any trouble accessing A2k at any time.

@dlowan,
Hi dlowan, we both live in the same city but I have never struck this trouble, can access a2k at will anytime. Consult your ISP about this I suggest

@dlowan,
How long has this been going on, Deb?
Very strange. I've never experienced anything like that with A2K.
Dutchy might be right. See what your ISP has to say about it.

Good luck!

@msolga,
Mid April...getting worse as it says in my post.

I was unable to get in for most of the day today. BUT...I WAS just suddenly actually able to use the "contact us" function...so I have put this in a ticket.

Why would my ISP be fine with every other site and normally up until now (for like 10 years) with A2k and suddenly not?

Surprised

Shocked

You so were not! As if! <sniff>
This has been a comedy of (email) errors/mis-readings.
I think (I hope!) it's been cleared up now? Smile

@msolga,
We are.

No access problems since last night.

Not sure if something has been done, or it's just Murphy's Law doing its thing.

If it is, access will cease again very soon.

Are these like lottery tickets? What's the jackpot total going to be this week?

@msolga,
Good morning down under: Is it too soon to think your government's web filter is starting to wrongfully interfere with the wrong sites?

@tsarstepan,
It is spot-on to think that the whole web filter idea is a total stuff up, tsar. Rolling Eyes

But yes, I've seen media commentary which supports what you're saying. But will this influence the government? Who knows? Confused

I doubt this has anything to do with Deb's problem, though ...

Good morning to you, too! Smile
