AFL -What did he mean by that?

On the morning's tv news, there was a segment on an AFL game played yesterday or the day before. I didn't catch who was playing. At one point one of the teams scored a goal and the camera cut to a spectator in the crowd who stood up, pulled up his t-shirt on the right hand side, exposing his right breast. He then swivelled slowly from side to side while pointing at his breast, cheering madly all the while.

It certainly was an interesting sight. Shocked

Is this an integral part of the game that I have never come across before?

Is it associated with a particular club?

Could he have been auditioning for the next Hooter's cheer squad intake?

Can any one enlighten me?

I did not think him a very attractive man, but he obviously was quite contented with his looks and performance.

@ragnel,
I should have thought he was expressing the general feminine nature of the spectator in a socially acceptable form in an attempt to encourage the cheer leaders to do it properly.

@spendius,
That's not what I was going to say. On the other hand, I couldn't have done better.

@ragnel,
I saw him and think he was so happy, that he was expressing his desire for the team to suckle at his nipple, whilst displaying that his nipples had gone hard with excitement. It is not normal and I discourage anyone from doing it at white tie dinners and recieving awards from the queen. It was pure stupidity.
