It is you, oh yeah
It is you, oh yeah

I said a pressure drop,
Oh pressure, oh yeah
Pressure's gonna drop on you
I said pressure drop
Oh pressure, oh yeah
Pressure's gonna drop on you

I said when it drops
Oh you gonna feel it
Oh that you were doin' it wrong, wrong, wrong
Now when it drops
Oh you gonna feel it
That you were doin' it wrong and how

I said when it drops
You gonna feel it
That you've been doin' it wrong
Now when it drops, drop
You gonna feel it
That you've been doin' wrong

Now when it drops, drop
Feel it
You make the wrong move
Now when it drops, drop
You gonna feel it
That you've been it doin' wrong

I said, pressure drop
Oh pressure, oh yeah
Pressure's gonna drop on you
Pressure drop
Oh pressure, oh yeah
Pressure's gonna drop on you

Now when it drops on your dirty little head
Where you gonna go?
It's you, you, you
When it drop on, oh you're gonna feel it
What you're doing is wrong, wrong, wrong
Pressure, pressure, pressure, pressure...
I said a pressure drop

"Goodbye To You"

Of all the things I've believed in
I just want to get it over with
Tears form behind my eyes
But I do not cry
Counting the days that pass me by

I've been searching deep down in my soul
Words that I'm hearing are starting to get old
It feels like I'm starting all over again
The last three years were just pretend
And I said,

Goodbye to you
Goodbye to everything I thought I knew
You were the one I loved
The one thing that I tried to hold on to

I still get lost in your eyes
And it seems that I can't live a day without you
Closing my eyes and you chase my thoughts away
To a place where I am blinded by the light
But it's not right

Goodbye to you
Goodbye to everything I thought I knew
You were the one I loved
The one thing that I tried to hold on to

And it hurts to want everything and nothing at the same time
I want what's yours and I want what's mine
I want you
But I'm not giving in this time

Goodbye to you
Goodbye to everything I thought I knew
You were the one I loved
The one thing that I tried to hold on to
The one thing that I tried to hold on to

And when the stars fall
I will lie awake
You're my shooting star

Damn Kerver... but what happened with the second guy?

I needed some place to crash
Walking down some highway road
Grey lines seemed to colour the world
Shadows fell from the swaying power lines

Could I ever think
Of you being with someone else there
Ravens circled above
Soviet girl, it wasn't meant to be

Did I ever think of hiding
In the waltzing shadows
In some wild-eyed hotel
I needed some place to crash

Could I ever think
That indifference was Joy's master?
Bury your soul for happiness
It's the way to prosper.
But I walk on...

$1000 Wedding

and with all the invitations sent the young bride went away
when the groom saw people passing notes not unusual, he might say
but where are the flowers for my baby
I'd even like to see her mean old mama
and why ain't there a funeral, if you're gonna act that way
I hate to tell you how he acted when the news arrived
he took some friends out drinking and it's lucky they survived
well, he told them everything there was to tell there along the way
and he felt so bad when he saw the traces
of old lies still on their faces
so why don't someone here just spike his drink
why don't you do him in some old way
supposed to be a funeral, it's been a bad, bad day
the Reverend Dr. William Grace was talking to the crowd
all about the sweet child's holy face
and the saints who sung out loud
and he swore the fiercest beasts
could all be put to sleep the same silly way
and where are the flowers for the girl
she only knew she loved the world
and why ain't there one lonely horn and one sad note to play
supposed to be a funeral, it's been a bad, bad day
ooh, supposed to be a funeral, it's been a bad, bad day

Take the ribbon from your hair, shake it loose and let it fall,
Layin' soft upon my skin. like the shadows on the wall.

Come and lay down by my side till the early morning light
All I'm takin' is your time. help me make it through the night.
I don't care what's right or wrong, I don't try to understand.
Let the devil take tomorrow. lord, tonight I need a friend.

Yesterday is dead and gone and tomorrow's out of sight.
And it's sad to be alone. help me make it through the night.

I don't care what's right or wrong, (yes, I do !)
I don't try to understand.
Let the devil take tomorrow. lord, tonight I need a friend.

Yesterday is dead and gone and tomorrow's out of sight.
Lord, it's bad to be alone. help me make it through the night.

For someone I used to know.

Goodnight, from Florida

Your turn to make me sad Let ....

Simon and Garfunkel Lyrics:
Blessed

Blessed are the meek for they shall inherit.
Blessed is the lamb whose blood flows.
Blessed are the sat upon, Spat upon, Ratted on,
O Lord, Why have you forsaken me?
I got no place to go,
I've walked around Soho for the last night or so.
Ah, but it doesn't matter, no.

Blessed is the land and the kingdom.
Blessed is the man whose soul belongs to.
Blessed are the meth drinkers, Pot sellers, Illusion dwellers.
O Lord, Why have you forsaken me?
My words trickle down, from a wound
That I have no intention to heal.

Blessed are the stained glass, window pane glass.
Blessed is the church service, makes me nervous
Blessed are the penny rookers, Cheap hookers, Groovy lookers.
O Lord, Why have you forsaken me?
I have tended my own garden
Much too long.

I'm in a very happy giddy mood this morning.
Friday night I went to a performance of the Praetorius vespers. There were two opportunities for the audience to sing. I was delighted to be holding sheet music in my hands and to be singing.
Last night was the company Christmas party and I had a fantabulous time with friends and their friends and families, so ...

It's the most wonderful time of the year
With the kids jingle belling
And everyone telling you "Be of good cheer"
It's the most wonderful time of the year
It's the hap-happiest season of all
With those holiday greetings and gay happy meetings
When friends come to call
It's the hap- happiest season of all

There'll be parties for hosting
Marshmallows for toasting
And caroling out in the snow
There'll be scary ghost stories
And tales of the glories of
Christmases long, long ago

It's the most wonderful time of the year
There'll be much mistltoeing
And hearts will be glowing
When love ones are near
It's the most wonderful time of the year

There'll be parties for hosting
Marshmallows for toasting
And caroling out in the snow
There'll be scary ghost stories
And tales of the glories of
Christmases long, long ago

It's the most wonderful time of the year
There'll be much mistltoeing
And hearts will be glowing
When love ones are near
It's the most wonderful time
It's the most wonderful time
It's the most wonderful time
It's the most wonderful time of the year

and let's make it the Andy Williams version, ok!

The Eels - Fresh Feeling

You don't have a clue,
what it is like
to be next to you.

I'm here to tell you,
that it is good,
that it is true.

Chorus:
Birds singing a song,
old paint is peeling,
this is that fresh
that fresh feeling.
Words can't be that strong,
my heart is realing,
this is that fresh,
that fresh feeling.

Try, try to forget,
what's in the past,
tomorrow is here.

Love, orange sky above,
lighting your way
there's nothing to fear.

Chorus

Some people are good,
babe in the hood,
so pure and so free.

I make a safe bet,
you're gonna get,
whatever you need.

Chorus

That fresh feeling.
This is that fresh feeling.

Even though I don't have anyone special right now to make me feel quite like this, this song always embodies the optimistic side of myself, and is definately something that beautifully displays the driving force in my life right now ^_^

It's Christmas, and your two happy songs are infectious.

Take the time to make some sense
Of what you want to say
And cast your words away upon the waves
Bring them back with Acquiesce
On a ship of hope today
And as they land upon the shore
Tell them not to fear no more
Say it loud and sing it proud
And they...

Will dance if they want to dance
Please brother take a chance
You know they're gonna go
Which way they wanna go
All we know is that we don't know --
What is gonna be
Please brother let it be
Life on the other hand won't let you understand
Why we're all part of the masterplan

I'm not saying right is wrong
It's up to us to make
The best of all things that come our way
And all the things that came have past
The answer's in the looking glass
There's four and twenty million doors
Down life's endless corridor
Say it loud and sing it proud
And they...

Will dance if they want to dance
Please brother take a chance
You know they're gonna go
Which way they wanna go
All we know is that we don't know --
What is gonna be
Please brother let it be
Life on the other hand won't let you understand
Why we're all part of the masterplan

Oh, Johnny wishes he was famous
Spends his time alone in the basement
With Lennon and Cobain and
A guitar and a stereo

While he wishes he could escape this
But it all seems so contagious
Not to be yourself and faceless
In a song that has no soul

I remember feeling low
I remember losing hope
I remember all the feelings
And the day they stopped

CHORUS:
We are
We are all innocent
We are all innocent
We are
We are (x 2)

Oh, Tina's losing faith in what she knows
Hates her music, hates all of her clothes
Thinks of surgery and a new nose
Every calorie is a war

And while she wishes she was a dancer
And that she'd never heard of cancer
She wishes God would give her some answers
And make her feel beautiful

I remember feeling low
I remember losing hope
I remember all the feelings
And the day they stopped

CHORUS

One day
You'll have to let it go
You'll have to let it go...no
One day
You'll stand up on your own
You'll stand up on your own...yeah

Remember losing hope
Remember feeling low
Remember all the feelings
And the day they stopped

CHORUS X 2

(Interwind 2nd chorus and next verse)

One day
You'll have to let it go
You'll have to let it go...no
One day
You'll stand up on your own
You'll stand up on your own...yeah

We are
We are all innocent

The old songs keep coming back like a song, don't they?

Sometimes I'm happy,
Sometimes I'm blue.
My disposition
Depends on you.

I never mind
The rain from the sky
If I can find
The sun in your eyes.

Sometimes I love you,
Sometimes I hate you.
But when I hate you,
It's 'cause I love you.

That's how I am
So what can I do?
I'm happy when I'm with you.

~interlude~

Sometimes I love you,
Sometimes I hate you.
But when I hate you,
It's 'cause I love you.

That's how I am
So what can I do?
I'm happy when I'm with you.
I'm happy when I'm with you.

I think it was nimh who wondered about the era in which songs were popular. As our guitar friend observed, the old songs are what everyone eventually reverts to...is it not so?

Comfortably Numb
Pink Floyd

There is no pain you are receding
A distant ship smoke on the horizon
You are only coming through in waves
Your lips move but I can't hear what you're saying
When I was a child
I caught a fleeting glimpse
Out of the corner of my eye
I turned to look but it was gone
I cannot put my finger on it now
The child is grown
The dream is gone
I have become comfortably numb

STRANGER TO HIMSELF
Sandy Denny/Fairport Convention

He was a stranger to himself
A spy in his own camp
And his money was his health
All thrown to the dust by his very own hand

Yet his beauty lingered still
Beyond the draining of the sand
But greener was the other side of the hill
Richer was the other man's land
But we loved him, loved him just like brothers would.

We loved him, loved him like no others could
And she loved him, loved him like a lover should.

Take good care of an aching heart
You never can replace it
You know you are the master of your heart
You'll realise that when you think it fit.

Those orbs of blue are jading away
No laughter from them dances
Yet you're bound to remember this one day
Hazards are risks and risks are chances.

You can run for cover, run for cover like a frightened hare.
Till it's all over, all over and there's no-one there
'Cos you daren't discover, daren't discover that we really care.

Bad season. Confused

Heh, heh! Love it, pessimism. Cool

Kerver, everyone sang that song. That's why I posted it. I am amazed at the number of old songs that have appeared behind commercials, recently:

The Way You Look Tonight.
I've Been Everywhere, man.

Others that I can't remember off the top of my head.
