What song best desribes your life at the moment?

Mine would be:

James--Sit Down

I'll sing myself to sleep
A song from the darkest hour
Secrets i can't keep
Inside of the day
Swing from high to deep
Extremes of sweet and sour
Hope that god exists
I hope i pray

Drawn by the undertow
My life is out of control
I believe this wave will bear my weight
So let it flow

Oh sit down
Sit down next to me
Sit down, down, down, down, down
In sympathy

Now i'm relieved to hear
That you've been to some far out places
It's hard to carry on
When you feel all alone
Now i've swung back down again
It's worse than it was before
If i hadn't seen such riches
I could live with being poor
Oh sit down
Sit down next to me
Sit down, down, down, down, down
In sympathy

Those who feel the breath of sadness
Sit down next to me
Those who find they're touched by madness
Sit down next to me
Those who find themselves ridiculous
Sit down next to me
Love, in fear, in hate, in tears

Down
Down

Oh sit down
Sit down next to me
Sit down, down, down, down, down
In sympathy

Oh sit down
Sit down next to me
Sit down, down, down, down, down
In sympathy

Down
Down

this is sort of catching today's mood

Kiss Me
by Sixpence None The Richer

Kiss me out of the bearded barley .
Nightly , beside the green , green grass .
Swing , swing , swing the spinning step .
You wear those shoes
and I will wear that dress .

Chorus :
Oh, kiss me beneath the milky twilight .
Lead me out on the moonlit floor .
Lift your open hand .
Strike up the band
and make the fireflies dance ,
silver moon's sparkling .
So kiss me.

Kiss me down by the broken tree house .
Swing me upon its hanging tire .
Bring , bring , bring your flowered hat.
We'll take the trail marked
on your father's map.

This song describes my life at the present moment perfectly...

When The Music's Over
Yeah, c'mon

When the music's over
When the music's over, yeah
When the music's over
Turn out the lights
Turn out the lights
Turn out the lights, yeah

When the music's over
When the music's over
When the music's over
Turn out the lights
Turn out the lights
Turn out the lights

For the music is your special friend
Dance on fire as it intends
Music is your only friend
Until the end
Until the end
Until the end

Cancel my subscription to the Resurrection
Send my credentials to the House of Detention
I got some friends inside

The face in the mirror won't stop
The girl in the window won't drop
A feast of friends
"Alive!" she cried
Waitin' for me
Outside!

Before I sink
Into the big sleep
I want to hear
I want to hear
The scream of the butterfly

Come back, baby
Back into my arm
We're gettin' tired of hangin' around
Waitin' around with our heads to the ground

I hear a very gentle sound
Very near yet very far
Very soft, yeah, very clear
Come today, come today

What have they done to the earth?
What have they done to our fair sister?
Ravaged and plundered and ripped her and bit her
Stuck her with knives in the side of the dawn
And tied her with fences and dragged her down

I hear a very gentle sound
With your ear down to the ground
We want the world and we want it...
We want the world and we want it...
Now
Now?
Now!

Persian night, babe
See the light, babe
Save us!
Jesus!
Save us!

So when the music's over
When the music's over, yeah
When the music's over
Turn out the lights
Turn out the lights
Turn out the lights

Well the music is your special friend
Dance on fire as it intends
Music is your only friend
Until the end
Until the end
Until the end!

my life seems to have been stuck in this moment.

Ain't it just like the night to play tricks when you're tryin' to be so quiet ?
We sit here stranded, though we're all doin our best to deny it
And Louise holds a handfull of rain, tempting you to defy it
Lights flicker from the opposite loft
In this room the heat pipes just cough
The country music station plays soft
But there's nothing really nothing to turn of
Just Louise and her lover so entwined
And these visions of Johanna that conquer my mind.

In the empty lot where the ladies play blindman's bluff with the key chain
And the all - night girls they whisper of escapades out on the D - train
We can hear the night watcman click his flashlight
Ask himself if it's him or them that's really insane
Louise she's all right she's just near
She's delicate and seems like the mirror
But she just makes it all too concise and too clear
That Johanna's not here
The ghost of electricity howls in the bones of her face
Where these visions of Johanna have now taken my place.

Now, little boy lost, he takes himself so seriously
He brags of his misery, he likes to live dangerously
And when bringing her name up
He speaks of a farewell kiss to me
He's sure got a lotta gall to be so useless and all
Muttering small talk at the wall while I'm in the hall
Oh, how can I explain ?
It's so hard to get on
And these visions of Johanna they kept me up past the dawn.

Inside the museums, Infinity goes up on trial
Voices echo this is what salvation must be like after a while
But Mona Lisa musta had the highway blues
You can tell by the way she smiles
See the primitive wallflower freeze
When the jelly - faced women all sneeze
Hear the one with the mustache say, "Jeeze
I can't find my knees"
Oh, jewels and binoculars hang from the head of the mule
But these visions of Johanna, they make it all seem so cruel.

The peddler now speaks to the countess who's pretending to care for him
Saying, "Name me someone that's not a parasite and I'll go out and say a prayer for him"
But like Louise always says
"Ya can't look at much, can ya man "

As she, herself prepares for him
And Madonna, she still has not showed
We see this empty cage now corrode
Where her cape of the stage once had flowed
The fiddler, he now steps to the road
He writes ev'rything's been returned which was owed
On the back of the fish truck that loads
While my conscience explodes
The harmonicas play the skeleton keys and the rain
And these visions of Johanna are now all that remain.

Close your eyes, close the door,
You don't have to worry anymore.
I'll be your baby tonight.
Shut the light, shut the shade,
You don't have to be afraid.
I'll be your baby tonight.
That mockingbird's going to sing away,
We're gonna forget it.
That big fat moon is gonna shine like a spoon
But we're gonna let it, you won't regret it.
Kick your shoes off, do not fear,
Bring that bottle over here.
I'll be your baby tonight.
That mockingbird's going to sing away,
We're gonna forget it.
That big fat moon is gonna shine like a spoon
But we're gonna let it, you won't regret it.
Kick your shoes off, do not fear,
Bring that bottle over here.
I'll be your baby tonight.

I would have give you all of my heart
But there's someone whose torn it apart
and he's taken all that I have
If you want I'll try to love again
Baby I'll try to love again but I know

Chorus:
The first cut is the deepest
Baby I know the first cut is the deepest
But when it comes to being luck he's cursed
When it comes to lovin' me he's worse

I still want you by my side
Just to help me dry the tears that I've cried
I'm sure going to give you a try
If you want I'll try to love again

Chorus

I still want you by my side
Just to help me dry the tears that I cried
But I'm sure going to give you a try
If you want I'll try to love again

Baby I'll try to love again but I know
Chorus
-repeat-

It is by Sheryl Crow "The first cut is the deepest". They only change would be that it would be about a girl. It is exactly right considering right now I have a girl that likes me but "the first cut is the deepest" and it is really hard for me to get over that. It is taking more time then I want it to. But it was way deeper then I thought.

Now feeling venerable they typing will stop and away the BlueMonkey will swing.

my fav, and i CAN play this one with quite a flair,,,

They're selling postcards of the hanging
They're painting the passports brown
The beauty parlor is filled with sailors
The circus is in town
Here comes the blind commissioner
They've got him in a trance
One hand is tied to the tight-rope walker
The other is in his pants
And the riot squad they're restless
They need somewhere to go
As Lady and I look out tonight
From Desolation Row

Cinderella, she seems so easy
"It takes one to know one," she smiles
And puts her hands in her back pockets
Bette Davis style
And in comes Romeo, he's moaning
"You Belong to Me I Believe"
And someone says," You're in the wrong place, my friend
You better leave"
And the only sound that's left
After the ambulances go
Is Cinderella sweeping up
On Desolation Row

Now the moon is almost hidden
The stars are beginning to hide
The fortunetelling lady
Has even taken all her things inside
All except for Cain and Abel
And the hunchback of Notre Dame
Everybody is making love
Or else expecting rain
And the Good Samaritan, he's dressing
He's getting ready for the show
He's going to the carnival tonight
On Desolation Row

Now Ophelia, she's 'neath the window
For her I feel so afraid
On her twenty-second birthday
She already is an old maid

To her, death is quite romantic
She wears an iron vest
Her profession's her religion
Her sin is her lifelessness
And though her eyes are fixed upon
Noah's great rainbow
She spends her time peeking
Into Desolation Row

Einstein, disguised as Robin Hood
With his memories in a trunk
Passed this way an hour ago
With his friend, a jealous monk
He looked so immaculately frightful
As he bummed a cigarette
Then he went off sniffing drainpipes
And reciting the alphabet
Now you would not think to look at him
But he was famous long ago
For playing the electric violin
On Desolation Row

Dr. Filth, he keeps his world
Inside of a leather cup
But all his sexless patients
They're trying to blow it up
Now his nurse, some local loser
She's in charge of the cyanide hole
And she also keeps the cards that read
"Have Mercy on His Soul"
They all play on penny whistles
You can hear them blow
If you lean your head out far enough
From Desolation Row

Across the street they've nailed the curtains
They're getting ready for the feast
The Phantom of the Opera
A perfect image of a priest
They're spoonfeeding Casanova
To get him to feel more assured
Then they'll kill him with self-confidence
After poisoning him with words

And the Phantom's shouting to skinny girls
"Get Outa Here If You Don't Know
Casanova is just being punished for going
To Desolation Row"

Now at midnight all the agents
And the superhuman crew
Come out and round up everyone
That knows more than they do
Then they bring them to the factory
Where the heart-attack machine
Is strapped across their shoulders
And then the kerosene
Is brought down from the castles
By insurance men who go
Check to see that nobody is escaping
To Desolation Row

Praise be to Nero's Neptune
The Titanic sails at dawn
And everybody's shouting
"Which Side Are You On?"
And Ezra Pound and T. S. Eliot
Fighting in the captain's tower
While calypso singers laugh at them
And fishermen hold flowers
Between the windows of the sea
Where lovely mermaids flow
And nobody has to think too much
About Desolation Row

Yes, I received your letter yesterday
(About the time the door knob broke)
When you asked how I was doing
Was that some kind of joke?
All these people that you mention
Yes, I know them, they're quite lame
I had to rearrange their faces
And give them all another name
Right now I can't read too good
Don't send me no more letters no
Not unless you mail them
From Desolation Row

You can cover your eyes
And hide behind walls
You've built around you
You can run for your life
Anytime there's a chance of
Someone breaking through
But sooner or later it comes to us all
And even the strongest must fall

CHORUS:
When love calls your name
There's no saying no
You follow your heart wherever it goes
To the ends of the earth
For the rest of your days
Whatever it takes yeah you'll find a way
Through fire and rain
When love calls your name

Now I see a light
And it keeps getting brighter
And shows me the way
And it's there in your eyes
Pulling me closer everyday
After all of this time
The tables have turned
Yes, I'm finally ready to learn

Chorus

You do what you must
You take it on faith
You take it on trust
You're out of control
And all that you know
Your world's not the same
When love calls your name

Chorus

When love calls your name

Suicide Note-Pantera

Because I am battling a horrific drug addiction

____________________________________________________________Cheap cocaine, a dry inhale, the pills that kill and take
the pain away
Diet of life, shelter without, the face that cannot
see inside yours and mine

When I'm hiding, when I need it, it lets me
breathe, for our handle on this life, I don't believe
this time

Would you look at me now?
Can you tell I'm a man?
With these scars on my wrists
To prove I'll try again
Try to die again, try to live through this night
Try to die again.....

Forever fooling, free and using, sliding down the
slide that breaks a will
Mothers angel, getting smarter, how smart are
you to regress unfulfilled? It's a damn shame,
but who's to blame?

HAHAHAHHAA Laughing Laughing

Jk, it would probably be....."Safety Dance" Men Without Hats

or The Ghostbuster Theme Song

Hmmmm. I guess songs depend on the mood of the moment, Lorna. Right now I'm thinking:

It happened once before,
His eyes were blue like yours.
It happened once before.
His love seemed true like yours.

And when I held him in my arms
His heart felt warm and when
I hold you close to me I feel that same old warmth again.

It happened once before
His love seemed right like yours
It happened once before
(can't remember this line)
If I were only sure you'd love me more and more.
Not less unless the way it happened once before.

Did that one from memory, Lorna. Smile

Tomorrow, it may be another song altogether that reflects the ever changing and yet consistent Letty.
