I am doing a thesis for graduate school, and I need to know where most of the rice in Japan is grown.
What about doing a bit of your work yourself?
Just google
Japan's rice-growing areas..
Then you'll find lots of pictures and information about growing rice in Japan, like this one:
Quote:Niigata is renowned as one of Japan's best rice-growing area, ranking second amongst all the prefectures in terms of rice production. In the region rice is traditionally planted in May and then harvested in October. The rice terraces are used not only as for rice growing but also act as natural dams to store waters in mountains.
