@Region Philbis,
Yep saw it on person! The one game I went to this year and it did not disappoint.

@Linkat,
You went to Fenway for this playoff game? Ticket availability must have been scarce?

Got them that morning ... Paid in the second market, not completely outrageous but higher than I'd normally pay and yes limited seats.

The one thing I'd wondered if others could tell how loud and intense it was in the stands. Every strike ... Every out ... Every hit ... People were cheering...most stood the entire game. I've never attended a game where it seemed almost everyone was watching every pitch.

yup, i had the game on a 50" screen with the sound way up.

a fenway playoff game is an experience like no other... we went to an ALCS game in 2013.
sawx lost, but even from our vantage point in deep right we were hanging on every pitch...

I've been to games since I was in my teens, but this was by far the most intense and loud as far as in the stands. Usually you have people socializing as much as those that are watching. It was quite the opposite here. It was the first play off game I've been to and one that if we win would clinch the sox going forward so yeah you would expect it.

Heard on the radio today - that they believe that can make a difference - the fans making noise, supporting their team - some felt that it even intimating Tampa's pitching while encouraging the Sox pitching.

Any way you look at it - is was well worth the price - a complete enjoyable experience being there. The win also helped make the experience even bettah.

@Linkat,
That’s what us snowbird fans like to hear. We support them down here watching ‘‘em in spring training. They have come a long way, baby. Smart management. My vote goes to Cora for Coach of the Yeah!

@Ragman,

sawx are having their way with the 'stros, two wins away from the Big Show...

Quote:
• Boston has scored 50 runs in its past six games. That's the most by any team in a
six-game span in the playoffs since Boston scored 52 runs over its final six games in
2007 to win the World Series.

• The Red Sox have 17 home runs in their past six games. That's the most ever over
any six-game span in a postseason.

• They joined the 1998 Atlanta Braves as the only team with three grand slams in a
single postseason. The Red Sox are the first to do it in a single series.

• They have scored 57 runs this postseason, more than the two NLCS participants,
the Los Angeles Dodgers and Braves, combined (47).

^ blame me, i jinxed 'em.

Houston proceeded to win three straight in decisive fashion as the sawx bats went colder than a well-digger's ass...

At least they can take pride in knocking out the Yankees.

@edgarblythe,

that kid Garcia threw one mistake last night -- his final pitch of the night went for a triple.

other than that, he was outstanding...

@Region Philbis,
I got to see the first two games in Houston. Then the networks found something else to do for the rest of the series. They just don't care about the poor folks.

@edgarblythe,

it's outrageous that anyone should have to pay extra to watch their local team in the playoffs...

@Region Philbis,
Weren’t the stadium sold out in time? It used to be that they’d lift the blackout if the stadium was sold out 48 hours in advance or something like 5at. I know NFL Stadiums are set that way. Can’t it be true for MLB, also? I wonder?

@edgarblythe,
Red Sox we’re beaten by a pitcher named Framber. Wonder when he will be in the Cooperstown Hall of Fame?
