@Region Philbis,
Thanks for sharing (and ignoring my silly humor). Was/were Toronto BJs paid to throw the game? Why would you leave your SP in for 8 walks?

@Region Philbis,
That makes sense. I can't see the games here so I didn't follow the action.

@Region Philbis,
I'm OK-ish with that as they're caught between a rock and a hard place...but that price tag is way high at 1-yr @ $10M.

@Region Philbis,
Apparently, that $14m was for the whole contract - this for the remaining portion. I love it when agent Scott Boras guesses wrong.

Too bad he can't hit lefties well - at ALL (around 200). and on top of all this shifting around, Brock Holt at 3rd base sure isn't the answer.

Then there's the issue of the non-hitting outfield (220) with little power.

@Ragman,

he wiffs a lot -- not as disciplined/patient at the dish as JD was, but he'll make up for it with the glove...

@Region Philbis,
Can there be any question what Ellsbury of last year meant to their offense or would mean to their offense this year? The combo of Pedroia and Ellsbury in a line up meant there always seemed to be a spahk-plug and at key times.

In general, Napoli snuffs rallies with his mega-strikeouts. Hopefully, soon he can return to the

Sometimes a brawl like yesterday's, unites and fires a team up. In this case, sadly, I think it shows they're unraveling like a cheap suit. Farrell is the kind of coach that can keep a lid on this slide. But it makes me question where the strength of character of this team has gone.

Yikes,, Pedroia shaved his facial hair off! Uh oh!

Hi guys.
Just visiting the ol' luxury box.

Haven't been here since the heady days last year.
Seems to be a lot of cobwebs and nobody's done any cleaning in a while;empty beer cups and crumpled hot dog wrappers everywhere.

Well, guess I'd better go.
Good luck!

to cut down on the whiffs, he has made a concerted effort this year to go the other way with two strikes...
