As is typical, they're over-paying for an oft-injured power-hitter. The big upside is that he plays a good defense at either at first
and at catcher. This makes him an invaluable commodity.
Gawd help them if he had signed with some other contendah. They're going to have lots more signing to do in order to compete with the rest of the division considering what Toranna Blow-Jasys have pulled off.
This could be pretty interesting as he seems to have the right attitude about being flexible with assignment and role.
