@Linkat,
You know, since I no longer live in Boston, and maybe it's because I don't hear (WEEI) sports talk radio down here, but I've never heard any squawking or team fights. I'm sure they have had them, especially in April when they started off at 2-12). Have you heard of any?

@Ragman,
No - I'm refering to Papi running at Gregg - not fights among teammates.

@Region Philbis,
after last night's 14 inning gem, tonight's sloppy slugfest is kinda ugly.

probably more so from your perspective...

@Rockhead,

chen throwing papi that 3-1 room service meatball was ill-advised to say the least...

was surprised to hear that your royals have 3 guns in the outfield, and lead the league in assists.

alex ("quit comparing me to george brett") gordon has made a nice transition from 3B...

Report: Clay Buchholz has back fracture

Boston Red Sox pitcher Clay Buchholz has a stress fracture in his lower back, according to a report
on Comcast Sports New England.

The right-hander was moved from the 15-day to the 60-day disabled list Sunday to make room for new
acquisition Erik Bedard, and he will see a back specialist Monday in Los Angeles. If the move to the
60-day DL is dated from when he went on the DL June 19, he will have to miss at least a few more weeks.

Buchholz has been suffering from what the team called a lower back strain.

The stress fracture was discovered during an MRI last week, according to the report. Buchholz had felt
normal soreness immediately after a bullpen session July 25, but the next day he felt additional discomfort.
Buchholz's next throwing session, which was to have been last Wednesday, was canceled, and an appointment
was made for the pitcher to see Dr. Robert Watkins.

Sunday night, Red Sox general manager Theo Epstein hinted that the club did not expect good news after
Buchholz visits Watkins on Monday.
