Entertaining game tonight at Tampa. Enjoying the last 2 innings of a sterling pitching performance.

Top of the 9th. Bosox have the bases loaded. But Reddick flies out.
Amazing combined 4 hits.
You gotta wonder if they'll leave Beckett in.

Really sucks when they pull a pitcher going for a 1 hit shut-out. Absurd.

@panzade,

agreed -- teams never used to do that back in the day.
amazing pitching on both sides, and some great defense to keep it scoreless into the 16th.
i stayed up, of course... <big yawn>
it ended around 2am.
somehow the sawx hafta get to baltimore for a 7pm game tonight -- a 17 hour turnaround...

My husband is Youuk too.

@Region Philbis,
Hands down, I'd be Pedroia. He's a man with small stature who has no quit in him. More than anyone I've seen, he not only gets the job done at the heart of rallies, he sparks the offense AND the defense.

Oh, the quiz at the link? The quiz picked me to be Adrian Gonzalez.

@Ragman,
Funny I thought I'd be Pedoria as well. I think the idea is matching the personality. Adrian is one that won't quit as well.

@Linkat,
Sometimes, you just love a team's group personality and work ethics. This team is one of the best (Manny-less) teams in memory. They seem to be pretty consistantly talented (not only the superstars), have a genuine liking of one another, and want to rally from the adversity they've faced'. With Youklis, Pedroia and Ellsbury, they embody the 'try hard' ethos, too.

Adrian G. seems to have the ability to compensate and make adjustments to his swing without over-reacting and scrapping it all when he is not hitting well.

@Ragman,
You won't get any agrument from me on that one. It seems like they generally have a good time as well - (maybe except for the occassional fight)
