Yes - especially satisfying when you couple that with Yankees having a 6 game losing streak and having a major meltdown that starts at the top of the organization and filtering down the line to each player on the playing field.

Daisuke Matsuzaka will be placed on the 15-day disabled list with a sprained elbow tomorrow according to Terry Fracona. Righthander Michael Bowden was recalled from AAA Pawtucket.

Aceves will be the starting pitcher on Saturday against Chicago in his place in the order.

Have you heard of Anthony Rizzo? I saw him here in single A Salem in 2009 and part of 2010 before he was moved up to Portland. Over the Winter he was sent to San Diego as part of the Adrian Gonzalez trade.
He seems to have really busted out this year in the Padres triple A affiliate:

It reruns on cable. ESPN or one of them. You can view Roger Maris, Hank Aaron, Mantle in their prime..circa 1960-1962, thereabouts.

Ted Willams wasn't there of course (being from San Diego) but he was born in 1918 (August 30th, I think)

Man that guy Rizzo hits a ton. Pretty amazing that he recovered so well from non-Hodgkins Lymphoma. No pun intended, more power to him!

Yep, and after last night Chicago probably wishes they had waited ANOTHER 93 years!
...but, they have two more games to redeem themselves and Boston is putting up Aceves and Wake so anything could happen.

(gosh, shoulda waited till after these next two before I started gloating)
