I was just wondering if anyone could tell me the proper order of cycling and length of each time for a Rainsoft water softener. I have an older model, knobs rather than digital. I know that it is not putting enough water in the salt tank. Can anyone help?

@mwygaga,
I have the gold series (digital)and it cycles like this:

1 eleven min fill brine tank
2 twenty min+ninety nine min waiting for brine creation
3 ten min back wash
4 fifty min brine draw/slow rinse
5 four min fast rinse

@jjlanc,
To clarify my previous reply, mine is the aqc 50 gold series.
It has .50 cu ft of ion exchange resin x100.
It has a .25 brine restricter in the brine line which yields .25 gal per min brine fill. So the 11min brine fill time = about 2-3/4 gal..
Since 1 gal = about 3 lbs of salt then 2-3/4 gal would be about 8-1/4 lbs salt dose for the 11 minutes.
My system is rated at 10,900 capacity (small) so your brine fill time could vary greatly from this one.
