admission for grade 1

i want to admit my son in grade one after 2 years in sydney school. he is 4 yrs now. plz advise me the right school for him. send via mailing [email protected]

While there are several lovely Australians on this board you might want to be a bit more specific about what your situation is if you want a reply.


Is a 4 year old ready for grade one typically or is your son advanced? (For instance -- grade one in America is usually for 6 year olds.)

And, if your son is academically advanced, is he mature enough for grade one?

And, "the right school" could mean anything. What do you mean by "the right school"?

If you are a bit more specific some of us might be able to help you.

Generally i would expect a 4 year old to be ready for kinder or pre school.

Schooling in Australia starts with grade prep then grade 1.
Important social skills are developing during the years 4 5 and 6. Some children develop early some later but the important thing to rememeber is that your son needs time to practice these social skills.

The decision to start your son at grade 1 is not one that is suitable for internet discussion as we cannot know your son his social and acedemic abilities and your domestic situation.

i have nop knowledge of sydney schools. I suggest you talk to a few schools.
