First off, welcome! Smile

This is a PHP-based site. I know your site was a bit more rigid in terms of forums. What we have here are tags -- so essentially the user community can make any forums they want, including somewhat silly ones. Try the forums for things like site usage or a2K or able2know -- those should prove of some help, plus you'll start to see who some of us.

Soon someone who can explain these things far better than I can will appear. But trust me, one you get the hang of the format, it's pretty easy going.

Once you get used to it, I am sure you will like it. We went through a major change in format some time back and there was a lot of hoopla but now most everybody is familiar with the new and improved format.

Hey David. Sorry for the rushed merger, I'll be sending out an email to Droiders shortly.

But to answer your question, it's a custom format. We used to be phpBB (you came from vB) but frankly we think either forum software is a bloated mess and we made our own.

It's messy too, because it's unfinished, but once you get used to it it's a lot cleaner, faster and more usable than vB.
