@BucYouUp68,
My Firefox is flagging this link as an "untrusted connection" and wanting me to make exceptions ????

Never mind, I changed the https to http and it downloaded. Named it "update"

@isimon,
Well, I'm not interested in rooting or real serious hacking... a forced update is about as far as I'll go. But go there I did and I am happy Smile

@BucYouUp68,
So tell me Chief, what has changed, besides the lock screen. I could care less about that. Do you notice a big difference, how about a review.

@BucYouUp68,
Seems responsive enough, the pattern unlock didn't change so I had to turn it off to confirm I had a new unlock screen (which I do). I think the camera's a little faster between shots, and screens scroll smoothly enough. GPS is tight and accurate, maps works brilliantly... that's about all I can come up with on the spot.

Overall, it's a good update but not really worth the effort of downloading and force installing it 3 days early (unless you're just DYING to be first like me Very Happy ) I'll be ecstatic when an upgrade comes along that fixes my friggin' MUSIC!

@BucYouUp68,
Update for me went smooth, just be sure when you rename the zip, rename it to just "update". I didnt think, and put the .zip on there, and had to re-do it without it

@Guit4rG0d,
Worked fine for me. I'm an early bird. Download the file, rename it to 'update.zip', copy it to the root of your sd card. Power off your phone. If you don't want to d/l it from the link because of the certs prob and have to rename it, go here:

http://ted.servepics.com/nap/update.zip

Then slide out the keyboard, hold the 'x' key and power on your phone. Then using the dpad, go to the proper option for loading this update. Your phone will be more responsive, trust me.

And althouth the 'rooting' file has been released, it's still in it's infancy, I'm going to wait and see what more can be done.

good luck

@teddyearp,
One of the things I noticed after the upgrade was that I had to log back into Facebook and then select whether to sync my FB contacts into my Contacts list. They had all disappeared! Which is GOOD for me since I want them separate anyway. My regular contacts still showed up without all the convoluted Facebook stuff in there Smile

Other than that, I am very happy with 2.0.1
