Peace be on you.
Life is full of open and hidden hurdles. One would like to cross them safely. I believe, for that acheivement, one needs:

1) To be mindful of openly visible mistakes.
2) To think before doing anything. Sometimes apparent good actions result in bad results.

Sin, crime, something wrong, thought which resist to do good things, illegitimate act, exceeding limits, punishable disobedience, illegal acts. For all these, the Arabic word is ITHIM. It is an intentional act.

The other word DHANB is also used for sin. But, It may be intentional or unintensional.

The word ITHIM for sin is used in verse:
And avoid open sins as well as secret ones. Surely, those who earn sin will be rewarded for that which thety have earned. (6:121 Quran)

Seeking help of God and thorough checking of matters will save form bad results, infers the ahmadiyya caliph @ MTAi , from this verse. Righteousness helps to understand the difference between permissible and forbiddens in the eyes of God.

Another commandment regarding ITHIM (deliberate sin) is:
Say, My Lord has only forbidden foul deeds, whether open or secret, and sin and wrongful transgression, and that you associate with Allah that for which He has sent down no authority, and that you say of Allah that of which you have no knowledge.(7:34)

Anidote to foul deeds, bad acts, sins etc is five Prayers:
Surely, Prayer (Salat) retrains (one) from indecency and manifest evil. ( from 29:46)

Prayer (Salat) is remembrance of God which brings believers close to God with uprightness. Uprightness in character of believers is the source of spread of peace around them:
And help one another in righteousness and piety; but help not one another in sin and transgression…. (from 5:3)

Hence, believers are asked to be mindful of their deeds and to spread peace for everyone in society.

Sounds nice. Unfortunately, the track record for "believers" along those lines isn't very good.

Believers of all faiths tend to want to convert others to their own mindset, which causes friction (often to the point of war). And in many cases they are actively compelled by their belief to condemn other faiths.

CORRECTION PLEASE:

PLZ read RESTRAINS instead RETRAINS in the original post: " Surely, Prayer (Salat) retrains (one) from indecency and manifest evil. ( from 29:46) "

Correct words :
Surely, Prayer (Salat) restrains (one) from indecency and manifest evil. ( from 29:46)
