I have a rainsoft water softner . All of a sudden we have alot of AIR spurts, you turn the water on and it spits and sputters, same with the washer and toilets... It appears to be random, one time it's fine and next time it's spurting air pockets. I've also noticed that the water in NOT clear like it used to be. Appears water softner is not working properly, any thoughts on this >?

if it's a brass valve, I'd say the ball in the triguard isn't sealing at the bottom and allowing it to draw air into the resin tank. If it's a composite valve , I'd check and clean the brine assembly in the brine tank there's a ball in the bottom of it that may not be sealing against the rubber washer allowing it to draw air into the resin tank during brine rinse.
