I've been accepted into the Master's Program. I'll be getting an MA in Communications, concentrating in (no surprise here) social media.

Final project handed in for this semester. I'm currently holding a 98 average.

Next semester (I think it's called Communications Theory) starts on August 25th. I'm also waiting to hear if I got a Graduate Assistanceship. If I did then my 3 credits will be free. Plus I'll have shiny stuff to put on my resume.

The best bosses decide to hire a person mostly by his/her character at the interview, not by paper qualifications.
Millionnaire Lord Sugar summed it up nicely-
"You might look good on paper, but so do fish and chips. It's personality that opens doors, and character that keeps them open"

Roald Amundsen the conqueror of the south pole thought the same-
"I never read the references a man brings to me when he applies for a position with us in an exploring trip.
I can generally tell, after observing him closely and talking to him a while, if he will be equal to the strain, and I have never been mistaken.
It is important to get the right sort of men, for one weak man will disorganize the rest"

I got a 100 on my final project this semester. I have every reason to believe that I will be at the top of my class again.

@jespah,
Brava! What a good voice you have for that kind of presentation.. cheery, relaxed, serious about the points made, besides having a great and colorful starting concept, plus the followthrough. (grins)

@ossobuco,
Oh, thank you! It was the knives photo that gave me the idea; I was really just looking for a picture of knives for the concept of slicing and dicing data. And there were those innocent-looking cherry tomatoes .... Wink

@jespah,
I happen to like really good knives, and the photo made sense re the concept/question but also kept one looking while listening..

@jespah,
Oh. I was hoping that was the coveted red tomato award.

@ossobuco,
It was a lot of fun to find different incarnations of tomatoes. If I'd had the time, I probably would have found images of people making sauce, but that video was actually on the long side for the assignment.

I have an internship, and just interviewed for a second one. The first one is going in place of my elective this semester, but I am otherwise unpaid (it's a wedding website, and I'll learn more about working with images and design). The second one is part-time and will pay me about as much as I'll need for commuting, plus it's next door to where RP works. If I get it, it will be more credit; it's quite possible that I will get two more classes in this fall but they'll just be internships. If the second one falls through, I'll take Strategic Planning.

I also have this -

Five more classes before I graduate (one will be the wedding website internship). I am slated to graduate in August of 2016.

@jespah,
Quinnipiac, I've heard of it, but just looked it up now; sounds like a good school with good people.. and a fine Bobcat.
