I'm wondering which would be more beneficial to an economics major - a BS or a BA? What type of employers are looking for one or the other?
Isn't economics a 'science'? I am a business management major with a BS degree. An BA degree was not really focused enough on the management side so it was not an option offered. I suspect economics is similar.
@brokencdplayer,
You get a BS or BA based on what major you take, you don't just pick which one you want. For example teaching would be a BA, and nursing would be a BS.
@brokencdplayer,
It's up to u what u want to be in future. So choose your path according to that.If you are not able to take any decision than leave this on God..lolz
@mm25075,
Oddly, it is often sometimes one of the humanities subjects. At one time, I had the impression of philosophy - with lots of math.
@mm25075,
No, not actually - I have a BS in Economics. And an MA in Economics. Maybe it depends on the school.
@roger,
You are not too far off. You do some sort of philosphy in a sense (what is society's reaction if this happens or that). However, most of economics is based more from facts/math/stats. Both my BS and MA had alot of math, graphs and stats.
