Glimpses a Perception Gap

President Bush has only begun to discover the gap between
the picture of a benign superpower that he sees, and the
self-interested, anti-Muslim America the world perceives.

This is the picture of a president who is asleep at the switch. He hasn't the slightest idea of the consequences of his actions. Does he live in a bubble or a vacuum?
