Creating Universal Bookmark Folder...is it possible?

Reply Wed 6 Jan, 2010 10:05 pm
So, I dance around from IE to Chrome to Safari pretty regularly or for different purposes.

I'm looking for a way to have 1 folder that all 3 of these browsers will look at that will have all of my bookmarks. When I add a bookmark from any browser it will update this folder, when I move to another browser the new bookmark will be there.

IS this possible?

Robert talked about a method of storing bookmarks online in this thread:

It might serve the purpose. You'd just access the page with your bookmarks from whatever browser you are using.

I use delicious, but there's also Google Bookmarks which can sync with various browser bookmarks when you use plugins like their toolbar.

These days I only use my local browser bookmarks like a temporary clipboard.

There's a free program called URL Gather which can store all your bookmarks on your computer or on a flash drive. It even allows you to open the bookmarks in the browser of your choice. You can get it here: http://www.zqware.com/urlgather.htm
