@roger,
after this, can we all guess how the vending machine bill changers decide which ones to reject?

@Rockhead,
Ours don't reject anything. Sometimes they make change, but they never reject the currency.

@lovejoy,
I saw only one of the two threads you posted, lovejoy.

This (quoted) question did not appear in that thread.:

Quote:
all I asked was if the APR of a loan is 2356 % what does that work out in total payments on say a £1000 loan over 12 months

the 2356 % APR is NOT a misprint

However, there was a link included in your post. For promotional material. (ie spam) I'd say that's why your threads were removed. No one welcomes spam here & A2Kers report it often.

Notice that this third thread of yours (with no linked spam) is still up & running! Absolutely no problem! Smile

(p.s. In case you're wondering: No, I'm not a moderator. I'm just an enthusiastic member of this site.)

You are quite right Msolga

but after typing the full question out TWICE and both being removed I typed out the shortened version which you see now.

Merry xmas to all by the way

@lovejoy,
But, as I said, I didn't see the full question on the one thread I looked at. Or any question, of any length, for that matter. I assumed the question would be in the link you provided.

But never mind. All's well that ends well!

Have a good Christmas, lovejoy.

@edgarblythe,
I posted it twice Edgar and 8 people viewed it before it disappeared so I know it was there BOTH times.

It sounds like the answer is that it contained words like loan, and repayments so it was probably the automated spam answer that was right.

Anyway Edgar merry xmas to you and all

Got an email from mods it was about spamming I explained that I was trying to be the good guy as my reply to them shows.

Hope my explanation gets me off the bad boy list

@lovejoy,
I'm sure there isn't a "bad boy" list, lovejoy.
If you don't post any more spam I can't see why there'd be a problem in the future.

@msolga,
I didn't post any spam Msolga I'm hopeless at maths and all I wanted to know is what a ridiculous rate of 2356 % APR would mean on a £1000 loan.

The reason I want to know is because I'm writing to my MP to be a (voice hopefully of many) to get this off our television screens so these loan sharks can't get any more of our poorest and desperate citizens in further financial trouble.

Jespah it was suggested on this thread that certain words triggered an automatic response, I don't know whether that's true or not, but surely it is clear that I'm not spamming, I barely know how to work this bloody computer thing

@jespah,
Don't you ever get a friggin' vacation? I thought this site would have something like my email program that looks for certain words like "nigeria", "mortgage", "cialis" etc. and tosses them into a spam cell.

@Green Witch,
Vacation?

Not often, no. But I'm not working these days so there's more time to A2K. And, no, no automatic spam filter, as it would be too much trouble to undo it (and we also know A2Kers would test it every damned day).

lovejoy, we know there was no effort to spam. But recognize that when you post the link to a scam you are giving the scam a nice, happy linkback which gives them a better ranking on Google (and more credibility in some people's eyes). Not that A2K is so wildly important on Google but recognize also that you aren't necessarily the only one doing this. And A2K does not wish to be a part of making life easier and happier for scammers and spammers.

Your initial question was not about the link and the link could have been left off. When it was, the question of course was perfectly fine.

Does that make sense to you?

PS This is the last I am explaining about this.
