@jmars,
Well, I was at first pleased to see an 80's-related thread, being the huge fan of that era I am. I was only eight when the Eighties finished and don't have many personal memories of them but as an adult I have realised how bad the music of today is and how much they steal from yesterday's artists (like how one particular new song stole a huge sample out of Gary Numan's "Cars" obviously out of the artists' inability to come up with their own original rhythm) so I have personally given up with it and gone back to the past with my music. I love Queen, The Specials, Led Zeppelin and Michael Jackson - many others too. Old music rocks.
But this thread is awful. You can't even use proper spelling and capitalization! I thought I'd give you a response just because this thread is 80s-related. But please, if you want to talk about the 1980's, talk about something real about a classic song or an artist who helped define the music of that decade! Nothing to do with just "dressing up"!
And no, it's not illegal to do that at an 80's party. He may have committed a criminal act in this decade but let's not forget when he was at his best in the 80's and this is what his fans will want to remember him for. However, given the nature of his offence, I'd give it a bit of time before you start flaunting yourself in his image too much. You may get some rather nasty, unwelcoming looks!
Best regards,
