South America like many countries is under heavy economic diffulties, for one thing inflation is a major problem in South America. What are the prospects for creating a more united South America? It would help to be able to like everything under a more common economy so quick relief could come all. SI ti possible? OR may it happen soon?
Where would the relief come from?
United South America is a bit difficult right now.
The US is playing divide and conquer down there, the South American governments haven't been too enthusiastic about the US's proposed trade agreements saying that unless the US stops agricultural subsidies the pact would hurt them.
The US has responded to this reluctance by targeting individual countries like Chile for agreements.
South America is unlikely to be united for some time. Brazilian president Lula is not a big fan of US policies and the US is very eager to get those policies going.
