Have you received email with a similar message? It’s a scam called “phishing” " and it involves Internet fraudsters who send spam or pop-up messages to lure personal information (credit card numbers, bank account information, Social Security number, passwords, or other sensitive information) from unsuspecting victims.

@roger,
That's got to be the most devious phishing plot ever! Who can resist a link that says "Don't click that link" even if your anti-spyware and/or anti-virus program is the one warning you about it.

@roger,
I suppose that I got about a dozen of similar emails, from various banks, both in the US and the the UK. Two "banks" even closed my account because I didn't answer (but I could of course re-open it at once when I'd sent the infos).

Very Happy

I once got an email from a 'friend' saying he was in London and his wallet and all his ID were stolen. He asked if I could wire him $2,000 to get home. The first thing I did was to call HIM. He was at home in California and had no idea his email had been compromised. He managed to take action to get things corrected.

I'm hoping I can count on Nick to come through for me. Without his help, I remain, currently, chipless.
