Water level rising.

My Apollo water softener tank water level has been increasing over the past week. It still cycles but I noted that it dissolved a 40 lbs. bag of pellets in less than a week. What could be causing the rising water level?

@chrisblizzard,
drain tab and spring, poppet and triguard are the first things I'd look at.
