@George,
If I was under his command, with his obsession with that terrible tasting overrated breed of black tea. I'd personally have to remove Captain Picard from his command post due to his poor sense of what's a decent tea to drink. Mad

OH STORMY! I made you a cup of tea last October and I forgot to bring it to you after I made it. I accidentally left it on my window sill and got distracted. I hope you don't mind a 10 month old cup of tea.... Embarrassed

Right now I'm forcing to drink this god awful Earl Grey swill. I accidentally picked the EG instead of the English Breakfast tea. Learn my lesson to double check the label each and every morning before tearing open the tea packet. I shall persevere, finish this sinister cup of alleged tea, and carry on! Surprised

Laughing Laughing Tsar I think I'll pass on the dusty cuppa. Since Autumn is quickly approaching I'll put my order in early this year for a nice hot cup when the weather gets chilly....please don't forget it! Wink

How about a steeping tea pot of tisane tea? I just found out about this classification of herbal teas yesterday?

Oh that sounds good, tsar!
Yes please!
I've checked the list ... a pot of Exotic Dream, please.
No hurry. When the Tea Room is a bit less busy is fine. Smile

@tsarstepan,
Just found the Tea Room - oh boy, I can really do with a cup now. Any tea will do - I'm too thirsty to be choosy! As a matter of choice I prefer Chai - no milk - but I'll take anything hot and strong. Is the conversation good here? Do you have music? So many questions, but first - oh yes, tea please!

@vonny,
The conversation is always lively. It is an officially sanctioned tea salon, doncha know. We need to pass accreditation tests every 3 years or we'll lose our tea salon license. Surprised Wink

We always have live music several of our tea rooms depending on your taste. Jazz, classical chamber, Tuvan throat singing .... Rolling Eyes Razz

@tsarstepan,
That tea looks soooooo good! And the flowers are a welcome touch. Music - I think a little classical music would go down well today. How about one of Bartok's string quartets? A little sombre, some might say, but I find them restful.

Back again! So nice here yesterday that I simply couldn't stay away. I think a friend may be joining me later for tea and cakes - what do you recommend? Certainly a change of music - something a little more upbeat perhaps?

@vonny,
How about some French tango music?

Too intimate?
Or how about a little hot house jazz?

@tsarstepan,
Love them both Tsarstepan, great choices. I'll let you choose. Meanwhile, I'll have some tea while I wait for my friend. Lovely day, isn't it? The sunshine is so welcome after months of ice, snow and low temperatures.

I had quit drinking tea for a time. Not because I didn't want any, just too lazy to make some. I am considering making gallons of sun tea again.

Never tried sun tea - do tell us more! I like tisanes - so many lovely varieties on offer - from the perfect pick-me-ups to soothing brews. I grew bored with ordinary tea quite some time ago now - always on the lookout for a new taste sensation.

Hi FS, glad you could come. Nice to see you across here. Lovely china isn't it? I do so enjoy drinking from a bone china cup. The little touches are nice here too - have you seen the individual posies of flowers on each table? So civilised.

Hi fm - I guess the sun must have come out since you arrived, it's getting quite warm now. And the ladies are all decked out in pretty summer cotton frocks.

Wait, I can hear birdsong! Not such a bad day after all.

While I was looking around, seeking ideas for my next trip, I saw that Mariage Freres, the French tea company, have a series of tea salons in Paris.

I'm going to France for a cup of tea! Wheeee!!
