@tsarstepan,
Here at the Tea Spot once again. Waiting for the 19:30 screening of Armadillo, a Danish documentary on the Afghan war.

Enjoying a pot of almond cookie tea and a slice of green tea cake. :-D

@Eva,
Strange, Eva.

Snifflles (& much sneezing!) in the southern hemisphere today, too.

I can't recall autumn being a time for hay fever-type allergies , but that's what this feels like. Confused

So another cup of your excellent ginger tea, please, dear tsar.
(Unless you have a better suggestion, of course.)

@msolga,
How about a steeping tea pot of tisane tea? I just found out about this classification of herbal teas yesterday?

Here's a cup of Turkish apple tisane tea:
Quote:
Ingredients: Apple pieces, pineapple cubes (pineapple, sugar) vitamin C, flavoring, freeze-dried apple pieces.

Recommendations: Use 1 heaping tsp. per 6 oz. cup; heat fresh water until steam rises 203º F - 212º F; let steep for 7-10 min.

Health Benefits: This fruit mélanges or tisanes are naturally caffeine-free, rich in antioxidants and vitamins, and are best known for their high content of vitamin C. Tisanes often help strengthen the immune system, as they are rich in vitamins A, B1, B2, C, K, E and beta-carotene. Tisanes are also considered safe for pregnant women, as well as children.

A new room has been commissioned for our tea salon, (based on one of the period rooms in the new American wing of the Metropolitan Museum of Art).

@djjd62,
You all may already know this - but I learned something when I went to the beach last year. There is a lagoon across beachfront drive and when I looked at it - it was creepy - the closer I got the more creeped out I got - it was red.

http://i564.photobucket.com/albums/ss83/mismi40/IMG_1930-1.jpg
That's the picture of it.

I learned that the rotting vegetation of the marsh lands caused tannins to seep into the water causing the red color. Same with wine and with tea.

The drawing of moisture by the tannins of course was used to tan hides and such. So cool. Anyway - adding milk to the tea helps keep it from being so dry.

Of course I had heard of tannins in my wine and such...never knew it was in my tea - until I visited the red lagoon. So much fun to learn that...

I love green tea. Really green tea. And I love Earl Grey - very hot. Wink

OH STORMY! I made you a cup of tea last October and I forgot to bring it to you after I made it. I accidentally left it on my window sill and got distracted. I hope you don't mind a 10 month old cup of tea.... Embarrassed

Right now I'm forcing to drink this god awful Earl Grey swill. I accidentally picked the EG instead of the English Breakfast tea. Learn my lesson to double check the label each and every morning before tearing open the tea packet. I shall persevere, finish this sinister cup of alleged tea, and carry on! Surprised
