Oddball place names

In 1994, following the trial of Lorena Bobbit for cutting off the penis of her husband, John, I started collecting oddball place names. I will start the search for funny sounding towns:

Lorena Bobbit seemed to turn into a Nags Head (North Carolina).

John Bobbit should stay away from Cutt Off (Louisiana) where Lorena suspect he continues to Ogle (Illinois) girls and also on Pleasure Beach (Conneticut).

Poor John's bed must have looked like Dripping Springs (Texas).

John must have later felt like Flippin (Arizona).

John spent 5 days betting well in Fort Recovery (Ohio).

If Lorena had a Coxsackie (New York) for storage, the doctors wouldn't have had to substitute a Classcock(Texas).

John needs to learn how to live in Harmony in his cloice of (Indiana, Minnesota, Pennsylvania or Rhode Island).

But that Romeo (Michigan) John never learns. He's so Horry (South Carolina) he's involved with a Hooker (Texas and South Dakota) even after being released from Institute (West Virginia).

I'm sure you can come up with even funnier place names from throughout the world.

Brit's odd place names
Fresco, the Brits can't be beat in oddball names - thanks.

One of my favorite oddball named towns is Rough and Ready in Northern California, where good friends of mine once lived.

Truth or Consequences, NM

As an aside, when I was in service, I had a friend who received his weekly edition of BBB's entry "Muleshoe Journal" so that he would not lose track of what was going on back home.

Kev, love your place names. Do you know how "Spittle in the street" - Derbyshire got it's name? It sounds like it should be a place in China instead of Derbyshire.

And what of that UK town council that ended up unable to use its own email server because filtering software had been installed to stop people getting/sending porn?

Just imagine:
