There has been a burglary and the usual suspects are being questioned at the local police station. The replies are as follows.
Alf; "Brian did it".
Brian; "Doug did it".
Charlie; "I didn't do it".
Doug; "Brian is lying".
Only one of the statements turned out to be true, so who was the guilty party and why?

Charlie did it, and Doug's statement is true. Any other combination leads to multiple statements having to be true.
@sophocles,
Alf and Brian are lying because if either is telling the truth, then Charlie is also
telling truth. Since we know Brian is lying,
Doug is telling the truth.
@George,
Ya beat me to the draw, DrewDad.
@sophocles,
Clue: Either Brian or Doug must be telling the truth so work from there
