I am mostly on A2K to listen to the songs while posting. Even though I may not be posting I am listening to the songs both Bollywood and western. Sometimes I listen to the Indian and Pakistani Radio stations for songs. When you have your own selection of songs it somehow doesn't seem as exciting as when you hear it from the station as you have no idea what they are going to play next. Sometimes in playing the songs I notice some other songs in Youtube. I play them and if I like them I post it. It is the tunes or melody that gets me. Hope your office romeo is under control.
When I was younger I noticed all the actresses sounded similar. It was in my teens that I realized it was Lata Mangeshkar who sang all the songs. Lately, I realized that Lata was a rather comely young actress not the middle aged matron that we see.

Lata did act in a few maharashtrian movies as a child artist. Then her father Master Dinanath Mangeshkar pressed her to persue her talent in music.

Are there any videos? I know her family history is like the Indian version of "The sound of Music" as all five sisters were singers and that she had to walk to work for her early jobs as her father died quite young and left her the bread winner. Lata had a thing going with Madan Mohan, I believe. He was quite naughty with her.

Well yes and no. I have to search for Lata's acting clips, I remember watching one on national TV once.

But her affair with Madan Mohan seems to be just a speculation as she helrself gave it a rest quite early on, by started calling him "Madan Bhaiyya (Brother)". Madan Mohan was naughty in a playful way. He had great sense of humour.

Although there was a fling between her and Raj Kapoor for sure. There was a picture of her with Raj Kapoor, him playing Harmonium with one hand and playing fingers of his other hands in her hair.
