It just occurred to me that I cannot see anyone's signature - not even my own. Can anyone give me a possible reason or explanation for this?

@aidan,
Click on "able2know" (top left). Then click on "my preferences" and check if the "show signatures" option is set to yes. If it is, I don't know what the problem is!

@aidan,
I did what you said to do; my preference was set to 'no' for signatures and I changed it to 'yes', but I still don't see any signatures. But then again, at this point I don't know who has a signature and who doesn't.

I thought I did - I don't remember deleting it.
But maybe I was supposed to reset it again way back when everything changed.

I don't know - I'll keep a look out and if Robert or Nick see this - maybe they can help me out.

@aidan,
Did you also click "update preferences" once you selected "yes" for show signatures?

I see your signature. (It is:

"The wonder of the world, the beauty and the power, the shapes of things, their colors, lights and shades, these I saw. Look ye also while life lasts." (Gravestone inscription, Cumberland, England))

@aidan,
Aidan your signature has been there all the time! I know, because I've often thought I would love to visit that cemetery and read what the gravestones state. I often visit old country cemeteries here, they tell you so much about the area and its people, fascinating stuff.

@Dutchy,
Yeah, I guess it has been- funny I didn't even remember what my signature was until I saw it again.

I like cemetaries, especially here, where they're most often in churchyards. There's a church in the village I live in, part of which is from the late 15th century, and I walk through it on my walk every night and pass a stone that always catches my eye and tugs at my heart. It just says: ' Eric -infant son of John and Mary- Suffer the little children to come unto me. '
He died in the early 1800's.

@aidan,
I visited "Boot Hill", a cemetery in in the outback opal town of Coober Pedy in South Australia some years ago. I couldn't help but noticing the 'grave-stone' on one of the plots, it was an aluminium BEER KEG! On it the guys name and the inscription "Have a beer on me mate".

The story goes the guy was a poor miner and never had any money. Just before he died he obtained a credit card from the local bank and shouted the whole town to drinks one night in the local pub. The total tab was charged to his newly acquired credit card and ofcourse never paid as he died.

In gratitude the locals put this remarkable 'grave-stone' on his plot. I have a photograph of it!
