what is the answer
@mikezotto92,
One of the two below is the correct answer. You work on the problem and see if you can figure out what N is for each of the equations.
(3000 + 7000)/4 = N
3000 + (7000/4) = N
@djjd62,
Cmon Mike , I have a bet going that you CAN, actually spell your own name.
@farmerman,
How do Jordan and Nick arrive at this answer in the Great Gatsby?
@djjd62,
You're wrong it is $5,625.

Now he thinks that (3000 + 7000)/4 = 3000 + (7000/4), tried to solve, and his head exploded.
@Linkat,
nope ur all wrong it's 4750
@mikezotto92,
(3000+7000) / 4 = 10000 / 4 =2500
So, the right answer is 2500
I believe it depends on when the train leaves from Fort Wayne if it's headed east and if another train is heading west from Cleveland.

This question is going on 10 years. Are we taking bets on whether the OP has dropped out of school and is presently living in his parent's basement?
Great Caesar’s Ghost! Tzar, or as Little Orphan Annie would say, jumping jehosaphat – If back in the day NASA had had the computing power to sum the galactic numbers in the problem and convert them into light years… then the answer would have been: 1.4697e+16 and Mike may well have caught that train from Fort Wayne and escaped his Mom’s basement. C'est la vie
