Hey, I play air drums.

Then again, I'm a geek.

Hmm, I voted for air tuba but I'm thinking air kalimba.

Oboe with those gosh darn double reeds.

Be careful where you leave them, Jespah. They can be darned hard to find.

Definitely the Saw. Air Saw is wicked awesome.

Why no air guitar?

I had a whole bunch more I wanted to add, but the poll wouldn't let me. Among them were: actually, kalimba was on the list....hammered dulcimer, oud, and thumb piano came to mind as well. Saw is a great one. Oh, jug too, as in jugband.

Pheonix, an air instrument is an instrument one pretends to play while listening to said instrument on a recording. Air guitar, for example, while listening to a guitar solo.

Yo Ho! Thought you meant wind instruments. Oboe still sounds fairly geeky.

I play a mean air harmonica, well actually I hum rather nasily into my cupped hands and wave my finger back and forth, I kid you not, I'd defie anyone with thier back turned, to tell me it's not the real thing.

Air harmonica is pretty geeky, but not as much as air jaw harp.

I think the air guitar must win. By shear numbers alone, the hockey haired geeks (mullets) I've seen in bars strumming along to AC/DC and or led zepplin take this contest hands down.
I mean it's not every day you see someone working on their air saxaphone chops, or merrily skipping along playing an imaginary flute, but crank up the metal and there's always at least one goof who thinks he's gods gift to Eddie Van Halen wanna bees.

Well, air guitar is indeed by numbers the geekiest, but it was also the inspiration for this contest. Air guitar as geeky is a given....we seek what is more geeky. Air cymbals?

I play air drums and air guitar quite well, but I'm a champion in playing bagpipe.

So....what's geekier, air bagpipes, or air Uilleann pipes? I think the Irish invented step-dancing to prevent this air pipes nonsense....

Bagpipes are pretty geeky. Maybe a glass pop bottle, or a pipe organ.

You don't know what's a geeky instrument if you don't know Les Luthiers.
