At the South Austin Trailer Park and Eatery.

I'm debating though on Shuggies Burgers and Shakes 5th Wheel Burger with Evelyn's Onion Rings, or one of Torchy's Trailer Park Fried Chicken Taco (get it trashy, take off the lettuce and add queso)

Hmm...then again there's the Fried Avacado Taco or The Yardbird (chicken battered in Lay's potato chips, topped w/ jack cheese, green chili mayo, pickle, lettuce and tomato)

@chai2,
A Yardbird with a side of Evelyn's Onion Rings would hit the spot. (Nibbling on soda crackers while I try to beat the flu...) Those onion rings are homemade right?

Here's where I hope to be in six weeks or so:

Cheeseburger with relish and mustard, onion rings and a Boston cooler.

Vernor's ginger ale and soft vanilla ice cream. (Aarrgghh, I am so sick of toast and weak tea!)

Your friends are welcome to join us, Chai. But no reservations. Should I get there early and save a table?

Yup. Same thing that's inside a Whopper candy -

Good stuff, a Texas fave! My dad loves 'em.

ooff...that was great.

Didn't get a malted, but sipped some of Wally's peanut butter shake.

damn.

I had a asahi tuna taco with poblano sauce, and a fried shrimp taco with chipotle sauce.

double damn.

they were REALLY good.

Wally had some kind of burger with chicken fried bacon on it, and half of some other kind. The other half is sitting in the fridge.

That place was really fun, there's 3 trailers there, Shuggies, Torchy's Damn Good Tacos, and some 3rd one that sells "boutique items". It's called La Dee Dah.

There's just a bunch of picnic tables with unbrellas over them. Sit where you can. You order and take your number on a stick and find a place to sit. The waitress was dressed in purple leggings under a daisy duke denim mini skirt and a tube top. Well, she's not really a waitress, she just kinda wanders around looking for number 76 and when she spies it, just drops off the food.

You can get soda, tea or shakes, or walk in there with your own damn beverage if you want. I saw people drinking their own sodas, and a couple of groups had a 6 pack of beer.

We all almost got to see a car accident sitting out there, which would have been the cherry on the top.

I'll definately go back.

Is that why no one sat near us?

I thought my deodorant had failed.

Here's a bit of the local flavor.

I swear this same guy was sitting at the bus stop when we got there.
