Been a while since I've been here....BPB, Alan Holdsworth rocks, but my heart is still with John McLaughlin, hands down for all-time overall favorite guitarists, and I love tons of guitarists. Incidentally, his official site is about as easy to navigate as his time signatures.

I would nominate a brief flash in the pan, Slow, for 'Have Not Been The Same' and for possibly every song on that EP. Sadly, I don't think you can find it anymore.

SealPoet, I love Bill Nelson, especially the Be-Bop Deluxe stuff....'Sister Seagull' in particular has a great riff.

Djangho Reinhardt has to be up there as well, for his stuff with the Hot Club

The sinewy guitar riff on Butterfly is the song's lethal hook. For being a bubble gum song, that guitar theme raises it above the mediocre.

The riff from "Butterfly" is a sample of "Pretty Little Ditty" by the Red Hot Chilli Peppers. I seriously doubt any of the members of Crazy Town play the guitar at all!
