Cav I saw Mahavishnu Orchestra early on and they played Inner Mounting Flame and Birds of Fire in their entirety. I was tripping, so you can imagine. It felt like living things were inside my spinal chord manipulating every nerve in my CNS. Shocked
Violently. It was great.

Mahavishnu Orchestra always riveted me, even sober....I am a huge John McLaughlin fan, and still amazed that he was self-taught, and played with Miles Davis on some pretty pivotal albums.

Gawd, I love guitar riffs. I don't think I could chose the best five. There are too many. But, then I am decisive-challenged. I like guitar allll the way through a song.
