Come on here and show your face, what have you got to hide?
Some are funny and some just stupid
You can look at a persons profile to see their tags, ya know.
@Bella Dea,
So how do I view the 'tags' of the person who is editing my (and other peoples) tags, s/he is invisible and does not have a profile. Unless its the ak2 bot.
Let me rephrase that. I dont want to view anybodys tags, I want to know who is editing & adding new tags to my own tags.
It be ................................[stage whisper]............... the secret council that does it!!!!!!!!!!!! they do be strange MUHWAAMUHWAAHAHAHAHA run away run away
Nobody edits your tags, not even Mods, Admins or Developers.
Tags are added or bumped out depending upon popularity, nothing more. It is a database query. It merely selects what are the five most popular tags added to a topic. If there are fewer than five, it will select all of them. If there's a tie, it seems to somewhat randomly select one of the tied tags over another.
If there are seven tags, all used once, five will show up. Which five? Like I said, I'm not certain about what happens when there are ties. However, if one of those tags is used by two people (and it's got to be the identical tag), that one will definitely show up over the other six because it's got more votes than the others (in this example).
Want your topics tagged the way you want them? Then tag them when you make the topic, and add ten tags (that's anyone's personal limit). Then your tags will show up, at least for a while. But under folksonomy, if your ten tags all just have one instance (your own), and there are five others with more than one use on your topic, those five are going to kick yours out.
@Bella Dea,
Ok, if it's so easy, then please tell me who has been tagging this thread.
Who tagged this 'Zing the Zipper' for example.
@jespah,
Thanks jespah, but can you explain how this thread got the tags "Zing The Zipper, Zip It Up" because I didnt put that there...
and all the others such as "I hate Israel" etc
just as she said.
Someone tagged it.
More then one person uses that tag there for it takes precedence..
@shewolfnm,
Quote:just as she said.
Someone tagged it.
Back to my original thread question ... who is that "someone" ?
@Zippo,
The only way to find that out is to look through each and everyones profile.
its a pain in the butt.. unfortunately, that is the only way to do so
@shewolfnm,
So, how are we supposed to retaliate?
Zippy started one of his typical, hysterical anti-Israeli threads. He's all pissed off now because he neglected to tag it, so i helped him out. I tagged it "Captain Obsesso, I hate Israel, Conspiracy Paranoia, I hate Jews . . . " I used all five slots because they were open, but i don't remember now what the fifth one is.
Got a problem with that Zippy? Then, as Jespah says, tag your own thread before you post it. But don't be surprised if i continue to tag your idiotic forays into paranoia in that manner.
OK . . . i just checked . . . the other tag i used was "Get a life."
@Zippo,
Ohhhh, you want to know who is taking the tags away and replacing them with other tags.
@shewolfnm,
Then my own list would be so cluttered up, it wouldn't be useful.
@roger,
That's the problem. However, the more of us who tag threads with sensible, non-insulting tags, the more repetitious tags there will be that will eventually crowd out the stupid ones. Unfortunately, when too few tag a particular thread--I won't be tagging this one for myself at all for instance--then the offensive tags won't be crowded out for some time or may stay in perpetuity.
Zippy here is obsessed with Israel, with conspiracies, which are paranoid, and he does hate Israel and he does hate Jews. So tell me how it is not sensible, or how it is insulting to point out the truth about this joker.
@Setanta,
I said show your face .. not your dogs face, little coward.
little coward wrote:"he does hate Israel and he does hate Jews"
I hate Israel but I dont hate Jews. I like Foofie for instance.
So STFU! little ...
Shut me up, you f*ckin' hero . . . what a clown . . .
