The map images are continuously updated; they aren't snapshots. The one you see on the map is the one that occurred today off the coast of CA.

The map had the November 21st quake in the proper location on that date.

They've had more than 48 quakes larger than 5.0 in that area in the last 12 hours.

I'm interested in an analysis from that geologist who became famous for associating increased quake activity with the phases of the moon. Did the alignment of the total lunar eclipse, winter solstice and high tide contribute to all the increased quake and volcanic activity we've seen of late?

Another 25 of the 5.0 or larger quakes in the same spot. That spot must of had a heck of a lot of pressure on it. There is a tremendous amount of energy being released.
