I like the new A2K arrangement very much. I just had a problem which may be at my end and may be at yours. I am on "New Topics". Everything was fine for about thirty minutes worth of posts with them showing up chronologically by last post. Then they started coming in out of order with some with a last post from yesterday mixed with those with a last post of today. If it's my problem, how do I fix it?

flyboy, is it possible that you selected New Posts instead of New Topics?

Thanks for the suggestion, but I am on "New Topics", and when I point to "New Posts" I get "New Topics".

@mac11,
I just realized the problem. I am on "New Topics" when I should be on "New Posts". My new problem is that I can't click on "New Posts" because it is obscured by the "Custom Search" block.

@flyboy804,
What browser (and version) are you using?

And if you know how to post a screenshot can you do that?

@Robert Gentel,
I am using Internet Explorer with Vista. I don't know how to post a screen shot, but I just presented the problem on another thread and explained that I can only use "New Topics" because "New Posts" is covered by the "Google search box" preventing me from clicking on it.

@flyboy804,
Sorry about the repetition. I didn't realize that I already mentioned the custom search block problem on this thread.

@flyboy804,
Which version of IE is it? Does it have tabbed browsing or not?

And do you know what resolution you use?

@Robert Gentel,
It' either 6.0 or 7.0. I tried to find it once and couldn't. I don't know my resolution either. That I did find once, but can't find it now. Sorry! I'm not at all computer savvy.

Just found the resolution. It's 1400 X 1050.

@flyboy804,
Does the logo for your IE have an orange ring around it? Like this logo:

And where does this image cut off for you (i.e. what is the last letter you can see before scrolling).

@flyboy804,
Nevermind the letters then, do you use your browser maximized? Or at a smaller size than your resolution?

Actually, maybe the letter answer will help me.

@Robert Gentel,
Robert, I believe Vista shipped with IE7, so this is most likely the version he is using. I can't recreate on XP... tried zooming in and out, and everything.

@Nick Ashley,
I tried every which way on Vista IE7 as well, can't replicate it.

I do have the orange ring and the series of letters goes to "U".

I finally found a way to get my "New Posts" exposed. By squeezing the entire window, the google block moves at a slower rate than the rest of the page, thereby exposing "new posts". After clicking on it, I am on "New Posts". I can then go back to normal width, losing my "new post" button, but I am still on the "new post" setting. A real pain, but I can again use A2K in the manner I prefer. A real puzzler.

@flyboy804,
Flyboy,
Can you clear your cache (Tools > Delete Browsing History > Delete Files) and refresh the page and let me know if the problem is still there?

@Robert Gentel,
Yes, still having it. Now that I have found the way to expose "new posts" it's no big deal, just one extra step in my A2K usage. It might help you to know that as I drag the window to the left and the google box moves to the left to expose "new posts" and "unanswered posts", the "ask a question" "start a discussion" and "screen name, log out and people on line" also move. In fact, the latter overtake the google box. I hope my description is clear and helpful.
