I just got a compliment!

From out of the blue.

I called the gas company because I could smell gas outside. Turned out to be gas leaking from a car, neighbors gf, now she knows.

Anyway, when the gas guy was turning to leave, he said "you have some really nice landscaping. Who designed this planter? It's really different."

I did.

"Who did all this? (indicating the harlequin design I painted on the patio...approx 500 hundred diamonds in tan, deep deep red, & brown)"

I did.

"and the pathway through the garden?"

yep, me. I planted every single thing here too.

Made me feel really good.

What was the last compliment you got that made you feel extra special?

I love that feeling. It is nice to have your hard work noticed. I'm glad someone took the time to comment because it is such a nice feeling.

I can't remember the last time I got a complement that made me feel good. Mo's music school wants me to do some photo work for them and that makes me feel kind of good but the job isn't done yet, so.......

In our office building is a coffee/food chart at the entrance and I obliviously
run by there most mornings. On morning while I was early and there was no foot traffic yet, I see the guy behind the food chart smiling at me and saying: "It makes me so happy to just see you every morning!" I never even noticed the guy before Embarrassed

but now I greet him when I see him, and he is all smiles.

On the other hand, maybe he's gay and really was admiring your planter.

aw crap marty. I'm the worst about taking a damn picture, doing whatever I have to do to get it online, and submit it here.

Even before the internet, I've always been bad about taking pictures. I one's i have I don't even know where they are, and if I did I wouldn't think about looking at them.

I am one strange bird.

Nice job.

Just a heads up but natural gas and propane smell of sulfur (they add it so you can smell it as they have no natural odor). Gasoline smells like gasoline - very different.
