I just bought and unpacked two lovely linen towers. In the unpacking process, there was cardboard, bubble wrap, plastic wrap and lovely foam boards. I saved six of the big foam boards (about 5' x 2') and 3 or 4 of the 2' x 2' squares.

They're OBVIOUSLY perfect for some sort of craft project, but which ones?

All I can think of right now is to cover one in padding and then fabric - then to use it as a message board or photo posting board.

Help me out all you creative A2K'rs.

@ehBeth,
Depending on how long they are you can make window cornices with the foam board as well. Bend them in the right places - small bend to nail into wall measure how ever far out you want them to go, make another bend - repeat on the other side, then cover with batting and then hot glue fabric over them.

I love the photo board idea though Beth.

@ehBeth,
Oooh, foam board!!

So many wonderful things to do with them...

I'm in a Halloween state of mind myself -- those would be handy for making a graveyard out of your front yard if you were so inclined.

Man, so many things -- those are useful! Do you have any general needs or interests to nudge us along?

(I do like the fabric-covered board idea.)

@sozobe,
ooh Hallowe'en! I hadn't thought of them for that - they'd be great with the ceramic hands ...

@mismi,
Mismi, you've got me thinking ... either cornices or mebbe a couple of them to make the base for a padded headboard in the guest room.

As I was sitting in the living room, I was thinking about the toile I've been collecting for a couple of years - but couldn't put the foam boards and toile together in my head - but headboard and/or cornice for that room could work.

I'm definitely keeping one aside to attach craft supplies to (after padding and covering of course).

There are enough to do several projects with.

Thanks keeeeeeedz!

@ehBeth,
I love toile. I collect it as well. I have made pillows out of pretty much every color and pattern I have found. I still need black though.

I am sure whatever you do will be beautiful - I love foam core. I think the headstones for halloween is a fun idea as well.

@ossobuco,
I didn't realize how expensive that foam board would be if I actually wanted to buy some. Saw some at the HD the other day. I was shocked. And appalled.

Now I need to get serious.

I think I'm going to take one of the small ones - about 2' x 2' - pad it out, glue on some fabric (I have some great leftover gingham that'll be perfect) - attach all of my bellydance glittery accessories - hang it in the middle bedroom (which is really kinda my closet). All of those dangly earrings need a place to live - and I just bought 4 more pairs for $2 total.

Bellydance bling display. Now that's getting serious Cool
